Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lath Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy comes to the cage accompanied by Go Ninja-Vanilla Ice. Silva has chosen BLUNT- The Iron Maiden as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lath Hoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids the body shot from Hoy.
Silva gets a takedown into half guard.
Silva is pressing down on Hoy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hoy is holding on for now.
Hoy is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.
Hoy manages to get to full guard.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hoy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Hoy's legs - danger averted.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva thuds a left hand into Hoy's body.

A telegraphed right hand from Hoy misses the target.

Hoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hoy manages to avoid it.

and Hoy counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hoy manages to get himself to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hoy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lath Hoy will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hoy shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silva misses with a wild body shot.

Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hoy sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Hoy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lath Hoy.
