Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tairy Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Blight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blight is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Suikoden II - The Chase. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tairy Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luca Blight!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Blight.
Blight misses with an attempted mid kick.
Blight swings widly with a right hand
letting Greene counter with a right hand.
Greene moves out of range as Blight throws a body kick.
Blight misses with a left hand
and Greene counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Blight throws a left and a right that both miss
and Greene counters with a straight right hand.
Blight throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Greene counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Blight wants to clinch up but Greene keeps it at a distance.
Blight tries to clinch up but Greene circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice shot lands for Blight.
Blight throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Greene drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Greene tries to advance to mount but Blight denies him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Greene tries to score with some ground and pound. Blight controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Greene working the ground and pound but Blight is defending the strikes.
Blight prevents Greene from moving into mount.
Greene misses with the ground and pound.
Greene working away.
Blight is working to avoid the ground and pound but Greene connects with a decent elbow.
Greene has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Greene wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blight keeps working.
Greene is trying to ground and pound but Blight uses the momentary lack of control by Greene to regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Greene uses his free foot to push down on Blight's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blight.
Blight sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Blight works his way to full guard. Good work.
Blight working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Greene.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blight avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but Blight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Blight looks for the body kick but Greene saw that one coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A low kick from Blight misses
and Greene counters with a nice uppercut.
Blight scores with a spinning back kick!
Blight ducks under a wild hook from Greene.
Greene blocks a leg kick.
Blight ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Blight cracks the inside of Greene's front leg.
Blight lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Greene thows a leg kick but Blight checks it
and Blight counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Blight swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Greene.

Blight lands a nice leg kick that just misses Greene's sensitive parts.
Blight takes a swing at Greene's ribcage but misses.
Blight ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Blight lands a jab.
Luca Blight is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A low kick from Greene is predictable there
and Blight counters with a slapping leg kick.
Blight lands a jab to Greene's midsection.
Blight tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Blight misses with a right hand
and Greene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Blight misses the jab.
Blight lands a right hook to the body.
Blight lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Greene at a distance.
Blight closes the distance but Greene moves to the side
and Greene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Blight bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Greene just misses with a punch to the body.
Greene is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Blight misses with a two punch combination.
Blight fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Greene blocks a low kick nicely.
Greene lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blight lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Greene moves away.
Greene has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Blight.
Blight wants to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luca Blight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Blight throws a predictable looking body shot
and Greene cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Blight throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Greene thows a leg kick but Blight checks it
and Blight counters with a stiff right hand.
Blight swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Greene counters with a left to the body.
Greene swings widly with a right hand
and Blight counters with a nice leg kick.
Blight misses with a few strikes there.
Blight does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Blight throws a series of punches but Greene avoids them all with ease.
Blight misses with a head kick.
Blight tries to land a front kick but Greene steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A big left from Greene misses.
Blight misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Greene throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Greene on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Greene decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Greene looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Greene thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blight's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Greene missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Greene throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Greene is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Blight blocking the ground and pound attempt from Greene.
Greene looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Greene is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tairy Greene.
I think Greene has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
