Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roland McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Savage!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor throws an off balance right hand
and Savage counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Savage scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
McGregor checks a leg kick.

Savage drops his shoulder and cracks McGregor with a huge uppercut! McGregor goes down! Can Savage finish him?


McGregor is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Savage tries to free his leg and advance position but McGregor is retaining full guard.
Oh McGregor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGregor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McGregor seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage is stalling in the full guard.

McGregor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Savage defends it easily.
Savage postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Savage won't allow McGregor to sweep him here.
Savage sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savage trying to control the position from guard on top but McGregor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Savage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McGregor's head.
McGregor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McGregor trying to control but Savage is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Savage is in all sorts of trouble here.
McGregor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Savage is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGregor unloads with some shots from mount but Savage bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Savage dominated that round.
That's time! McGregor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



McGregor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Savage is trying to defend but McGregor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McGregor is trying to work for a kimura but Savage is defending well.

McGregor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
McGregor works his foot free and advances to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McGregor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Savage is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Savage and McGregor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Savage regains half guard there - taking advantage of McGregor's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Savage is refusing to be controlled, as McGregor sits in half guard.
McGregor wants to free his trapped foot but Savage is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roland McGregor dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


McGregor jabs at Savage's body.
A good leg kick by Savage.
Savage throws a jab but it's blocked by McGregor.
McGregor blocks a head kick by Savage.
Savage throws a head kick but McGregor moves out of range.
McGregor throws a hook to the side of Savage's head but Savage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGregor pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGregor is defended easily by Savage.
Savage pivots, looking for a leg kick but McGregor is out of range and Savage settles back down.

McGregor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Savage's half guard.
McGregor takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGregor trying to control the action but Savage is working from the bottom.
McGregor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Savage's head.
McGregor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
McGregor not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Savage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Savage is not content to let McGregor control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McGregor works his way into full mount!
Savage tries to hold on but McGregor pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roland McGregor showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McGregor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
