Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vince Angus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Droop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vince Angus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Droop! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angus throws the left hand but Droop avoids the punch easily. Angus gets a clinch. Angus has had enough of the clinch but Droop keeps him there for the moment. Angus misses with the head strike.
Angus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Droop walks away with a smile on his face. Angus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Droop misses with a double jab
and Angus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Droop throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Vince Angus has been cut. A looping hook to the body misses from Angus. Droop does a little dance to reset his feet. Angus connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Droop moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Droop lands with a kick to the temple. Angus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Angus is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Droop. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Droop goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Droop wants to clinch and Angus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Angus working hard to break the clinch. Angus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Droop smiles and moves away.
Droop is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Droop pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Angus back to the cage. Droop follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's one minute gone in the round. Droop slips under a jab from Angus. Droop defending well as Angus loads up on a big left hand. Droop throws a right hand that misses
and Angus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Droop keeps control of Angus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Angus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Droop throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Anguss head. Droop keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Angus's efforts to push away. Angus is trying to force a seperation but Droop has the dominant position. Angus wants to break the clinch but can't.
A frustrated look appears on Angus's face as he tries to break the clinch. Angus's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Droop comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Vince Angus's cut is getting worse. Angus working hard to break the clinch. Droop softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Angus tries to break free but Droop pushes him back against the cage. Droop slows down the pace here.
Droop lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Angus. Angus takes a shot to the head. Droop lands a right hand that snaps the head of Angus backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Droop lands on the inside with an uppercut. Angus can't break the clinch.
Angus tries to pull guard but Droop holds him up against the cage and eventually Angus drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Angus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Droop scores with a shot to the side of Angus's head. Angus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Droop has him pressed against the cage. Angus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Droop just stands there and leans against the cage. Angus tries to pull guard but Droop won't allow it.

Angus is breathing heavily. A frustrated look appears on Angus's face as he tries to break the clinch. Droop throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Anguss head. Droop is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A nice left hand lands by Droop.
Droop lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Angus or not. Droop has Angus pushed against the cage. Droop lands with a left to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Droop lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Vince Angus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Droop unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Droop content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Droop lands a hook to the side of the head. Still in the clinch, Droop scores with a nice short uppercut. Droop lands with a right to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Droop dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vince Angus's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Droop lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Angus backwards. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Droop obliges. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Droop scores with a nice hook to the head. Droop lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Droop is stalling here.

Angus is trying to force a seperation but Droop has the dominant position. Droop is struggling to control the position. Droop connects with a nasty looking knee right to Angus's face.
Droop just leaning against Angus, taking a breather. Droop gets through Angus's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Angus is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Droop is keeping busy. Droop putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Angus in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A left hand lands to the body for Droop.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Droop takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A shot in the inside from Droop. George Droop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Vince Angus's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Angus walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Droop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Angus. A big left from Angus misses. Angus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Droop connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Angus scrambles back to his feet. George Droop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Droop with a body punch. A glancing blow. Droop walks into a straight right hand from Angus. Droop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Angus. Droop clinches. Angus has had enough of the clinch but Droop keeps him there for the moment. Droop has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Angus is trying to break the clinch but Droop is controlling him. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Droop creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Droop lands with a short shot to the head.
