The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izecson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ecxaem misses with a takedown attempt
and Izecson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Izecson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Izecson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Luiz Izecson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ecxaem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Izecson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Izecson is sitting in close to Ecxaem's body. Ecxaem has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Izecson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Izecson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ecxaem.
