Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shamus McFey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Forman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forman has chosen Ultimate as his entrance music. Red Forman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
McFey on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Forman throws a body punch but McFey moves out of range.
McFey tries to close the distance and clinch but Forman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Forman looks to land a combination but McFey avoids it well.
McFey walks into a stiff left hand from Forman.

McFey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McFey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Forman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Forman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McFey moves away.

McFey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Forman.

McFey moves into range and clinches up with Forman.
McFey is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Forman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Forman has had enough of the clinch but McFey keeps him there for the moment.
McFey is working for takedown but Forman is calmly controlling the position for now.

Forman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McFey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Forman circles away.
McFey really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Forman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McFey.

McFey takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McFey checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Forman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McFey rather than just go for the knockout.

McFey takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Forman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McFey manages to avoid it.

and McFey counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Forman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Forman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McFey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Forman is concentrating on defense, preventing McFey from advancing position.

Forman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McFey's guard.

McFey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Forman defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Forman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Forman wants to stand and escape but instead McFey has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

McFey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Forman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McFey.
Forman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McFey was well out of range. Poor timing from Forman.
Forman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
No joy there for Forman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McFey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Forman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McFey is in Forman's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

McFey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Forman but Forman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Forman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
McFey is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

McFey shoots in looking for a takedown. Forman tries to sprawl out of it but McFey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Forman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McFey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Forman's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shamus McFey will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

McFey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Forman's half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McFey wants to free his trapped foot but Forman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McFey prevents Forman from improving his position.

Shamus McFey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

McFey swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Forman is now in McFey's guard. A big mistake from McFey there, giving up the dominant position!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Red Forman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Forman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McFey moves away.
McFey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Forman as he jumps to the side.
Forman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
McFey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Forman.
Forman misses with the combination.
Forman lands a body shot.
Forman looks to score with a jab to the body but McFey is just out of range.
Forman thuds a left hand into McFey's body.
Forman feints a jab promting McFey to slip. Forman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McFey slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Forman works over McFey's head and body with a nice combination.

And that's the end of the fight!
Red Forman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Forman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
