Calypso comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan . Zilva has chosen Darude's Sandstorm as his entrance music. Jack Calypso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Calypso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Wanderlay Zilva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calypso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Calypso pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zilva is keeping the position for now.
Zilva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Calypso controls the pace.
Zilva keeping full guard, as Calypso tries to pass.
Calypso slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zilva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Calypso trying to control the position from guard on top but Zilva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calypso accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Zilva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Calypso wants to control from the top but Zilva keeps moving.
Calypso postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Calypso trying to control the position from guard on top but Zilva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Calypso slips nicely into half guard.
Calypso slips a nice elbow through Zilva's hands, connecting with Zilva's forehead.


Zilva is rocked!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Calypso lands a nice short elbow.
Zilva is still in real trouble! Can Calypso finish him?
Calypso works his way into side control.
Calypso cracks Zilva with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Calypso immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Zilva is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Calypso!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Calypso!
