Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Demar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Derek Demar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Demar!
Derek Demar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Souza shoots in and bounces Demar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Souza distracts Demar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Demar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Demar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Souza has an Americana. Demar didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Souza is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Souza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
