Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and quick mick cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying cameron's choice of entrance music: swedish house mafia. quick mick cameron is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus slaps away a takedown attempt from cameron, before circling back to the center of the mat.
cameron fails with a takedown attempt.
Maximus scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Maximus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming cameron to the mat! cameron manages to get full guard.
Maximus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Maximus slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on cameron's face as Maximus controls the position.
cameron regains half guard, as Maximus was trying to land strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maximus decides to stand and escape the position.

Maximus has cameron up against the cage in a clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Maximus.

Maximus wants the takedown. cameron is fighting it off but Maximus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in cameron's guard against the cage.
cameron is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Maximus's corner is telling him to maintain position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maximus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Maximus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. cameron swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alessio Maximus has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Maximus throws a series of punches but cameron avoids them all with ease.

Maximus has cameron up against the cage in a clinch.
Maximus lands a right hand that snaps the head of cameron backwards.

Maximus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Maximus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

cameron gets tackled into the cage by Maximus. Maximus maintains the clinch.

Maximus drags the fight down to the ground.
Maximus wants to stand but cameron is controlling the position.

cameron is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Maximus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

cameron drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. cameron seems to have locked his on tight now - Maximus screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for cameron, as he picks up the win!
