Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gary Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kosuke Soseki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Steel is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kosuke Soseki! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Soseki.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steel. Soseki closes the distance and clinches. Soseki lands a nice elbow. Soseki lands with a short shot to the head. Soseki pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Soseki lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Soseki lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Steel is working for takedown but Soseki is calmly controlling the position for now. Soseki lands an elbow inside that Steel shrugs off. Soseki throws an elbow but it misses.
Soseki comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A nice right hand lands inside from Soseki. Steel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Nice elbow from Soseki. Soseki is pressed up against the cage. Steel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Soseki down to the mat. Soseki avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Soseki takes a swing at Steel's ribcage but misses. Steel tries for a takedown but Soseki circles away easily and Soseki moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel avoids the elbow strike from Soseki, against the cage.
Steel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Soseki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Soseki lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Steel is trying to drag Soseki to the mat but Soseki just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Soseki has Steel pushed against the cage. Steel takes an elbow to the temple. Steel drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Soseki gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Soseki lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Nice elbow from Soseki. Steel on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Soseki throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Soseki lands a nice elbow. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Soseki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Steel tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Soseki obliges. Soseki lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Steel takes an elbow to the forehead. Soseki lands a damaging elbow. Steel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Soseki fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Soseki decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Steel is breathing heavily. Soseki wants to take a breather but Steel is having none of it. Soseki scoring with strikes to the body and head. Steel wants to improve his position but Soseki is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Soseki lands a nice short elbow. Soseki working the head and body with strikes. Ground and pound from Soseki. Steel wants to get back to full guard. Steel is working hard here to advance position. Soseki working Steel over with strikes. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Soseki in particular looking to stall. Steel gets full guard. Steel working for a triangle but Soseki defends it easily.
Steel keeping moving, preventing Soseki from controlling successfully. Soseki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Soseki looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Soseki throws a big right hand that misses. Soseki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Soseki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Soseki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Soseki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Soseki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steel wants to sweep but no luck. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Soseki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel wants to sweep but no luck. Steel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kosuke Soseki dominated that round. That's time! Steel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Steel with a lazy takedown attempt and Soseki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Steel! Steel is trying to escape the mount.
Soseki landing strikes, looking to finish! Steel is looking to get to half guard. A nice elbow there by Soseki. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soseki is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Steel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Steel tries to hold on but Soseki pushes him away. Steel is desperately trying to improve his position but Soseki has a good base and remains in mount. Soseki looking to control and managing it successfully. Steel gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel is looking for a sweep. Soseki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Soseki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steel sees it coming and defends easily. Soseki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Steel won't allow Soseki to pass to mount. Soseki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Steel gets full guard. Soseki trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Soseki keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Steel's head. Soseki wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Soseki is looking to work some ground and pound but Steel has wrist control. Steel wants to sweep here but Soseki controlling him for the moment. Soseki is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Steel has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Soseki is looking to defend but Steel has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Soseki! Steel pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Soseki taps out and this one is all over!
