Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bert Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Uy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bert Compton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Uy! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Compton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Uy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Compton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Uy tries to advance to mount but Compton denies him. Uy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Uy wants to control but Compton is keeping him busy. Uy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Compton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Uy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Compton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Uy swings around for an armbar but Compton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Uy's guard. Uy throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Compton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Uy pushes Compton off and scrambles back to his feet.
Uy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Compton was covering up waiting for the punch and Uy finishes the takedown easily into guard. Uy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Compton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Compton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Compton!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Compton wants to control but Uy is keeping him busy. Uy is looking to regain half guard here but Compton keeps moving and retains side control. Compton working away. Compton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Uy on the ground. Compton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Compton working away. Compton landing a few strikes. Uy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Uy looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Compton pushes past his half guard into mount! Uy is in a horrible position here. Compton smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Compton lands a big shot there that rocks Uy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Compton looking to control and managing it successfully. Compton unloads with some shots from mount but Uy bucks and avoids them well.
Uy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Compton avoids the attempt from Uy to control. Uy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Uy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Uy is trying to escape the mount.
Uy is squirming around, avoiding Compton's attempts to control the action. Uy is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton controlling from mount. Compton lands a nice shot to the head. Uy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Compton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Uy is looking to escape. Uy swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Uy tries to reverse the position but Compton maintains control. Uy tries to hold on but Compton postures up. Compton looking to control but Uy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bert Compton will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Compton misses with a left hand and Uy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Uy. Uy looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uy trying to control the position from guard on top but Compton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Compton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Compton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Uy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Compton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Compton has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Uy is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Compton has his hands clasped together but Uy extends an breaks Compton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Uy.
