PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alan Procter Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Procter Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Con Te Partiro- Andrea Bocelli. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Procter Jr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Falcon!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Procter Jr fails in his attempt to clinch.
Procter Jr slips a straight right by Falcon.

Procter Jr steps into range and cracks Falcon with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Falcon flops backwards and Procter Jr dives into his guard looking to finish!


Falcon is rocked!


It looks like Hans Falcon has been cut.
Procter Jr looking to pass the guard.
Falcon seems keen to control Procter Jr's posture.
Falcon keeping moving, preventing Procter Jr from controlling successfully.
Falcon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Procter Jr is not content to let Falcon control the position.
Falcon is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Falcon advances to mount.
Falcon is trying to take his opponent's back.
Falcon wants to control the pace but Procter Jr is squirming around nicely.

Falcon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Procter Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Falcon.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Procter Jr is on top in guard.

Procter Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Falcon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Procter Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Procter Jr drops back looking for a leg! Falcon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Falcon manages to kick Procter Jr off! Procter Jr jumps back into Falcon's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Falcon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Falcon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Procter Jr feints and then cracks Falcon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Falcon down.

Falcon is taking a breather. Procter Jr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Procter Jr tries to kick Falcon off but Falcon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Falcon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Procter Jr keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hans Falcon was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Procter Jr connects with a body shot that sends Falcon's belly button to the back.
Falcon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Procter Jr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Falcon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Falcon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Procter Jr.
Procter Jr wants to clinch up but Falcon keeps it at a distance.
Falcon walks forward, straight into a front kick from Procter Jr.

Alan Procter Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Falcon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Procter Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Falcon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Procter Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
