Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Vaughn! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brown tries to sprawl but Vaughn drives through with a takedown into half guard. Vaughn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Vaughn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vaughn trying to control the pace. Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vaughn on the ground. Brown actively working from the bottom here. Brown looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vaughn controlling the action here. Brown taking some punishment here, with Vaughn in his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vaughn is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work. Vaughn with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Vaughn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brown defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughn working the head and body with strikes. Brown trying to control but Vaughn postures up.
Brown blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vaughn. Vaughn is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Vaughn with shots to the head and body - Brown looks very uncomfortable down there. Vaughn postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brown looks a forlorn figure.
Vaughn dominating with strikes here. Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Vaughn cracks Brown with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brown is rocked! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vaughn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Brown is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughn postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Brown in real trouble here! The ref calls for Brown to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Vaughn!
