0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitry Dinskoy! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soo Kim closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dinskoy did well to prevent Soo Kim getting side control. Soo Kim looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Soo Kim thows a huge punch but Dinskoy dodges it nicely.

Dinskoy is looking to control Soo Kim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dinskoy avoid being mounted? Soo Kim is looking to take a break and control but Dinskoy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Soo Kim trying to pass the guard but Dinskoy defending well. Soo Kim is trying to control. Dinskoy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinskoy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dinskoy is trying to keep Soo Kim in close.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dinskoy wants to control the pace but Soo Kim is squirming around nicely. Soo Kim is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dinskoy is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Soo Kim has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dinskoy landing shots from mount. Dinskoy wants to control the pace but Soo Kim is squirming around nicely. Dinskoy is in the full mount, landing strikes. Dinskoy tries to control but Soo Kim wriggling away. Dinskoy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Soo Kim is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Soo Kim and Dinskoy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dinskoy trying to control the position but Soo Kim is working away. Dinskoy wants to stand but Soo Kim is controlling his arm. Dinskoy is looking to take a break and control but Soo Kim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Soo Kim can't do much from the bottom here. Dinskoy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dinskoy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Soo Kim, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dinskoy working away. Dinskoy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Soo Kim managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dinskoy.
Dinskoy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dinskoy lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitry Dinskoy dominated that round. That's time! Soo Kim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Soo Kim rushes Dinskoy and presses him up against the cage. Dinskoy missing with knees to the body.

Dinskoy looking to slow down the pace here. Soo Kim is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dinskoy can't fight it off and eventually Soo Kim manages to take the fight to the floor. Dinskoy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Soo Kim throwing strikes from guard but Dinskoy blocks nicely. Dinskoy wants to stand up but Soo Kim is controlling him. Soo Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Dinskoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinskoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Soo Kim is one step ahead there. Soo Kim loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Soo Kim trying to control but Dinskoy is working from the bottom. Soo Kim scoring with some ground and pound. Soo Kim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Soo Kim looking to pass the guard. Dinskoy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dinskoy keeping moving, preventing Soo Kim from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Soo Kim wants to pass the guard but Dinskoy is keeping the position. Dinskoy looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Soo Kim is defending well. Dinskoy quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Soo Kim has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dinskoy celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
