Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruffuss Passat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Partridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Passat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is looser by Beck. Alex Partridge acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Passat checks the leg kick nicely there.
Partridge stuffs the takedown attempt from Passat. Passat gets slowly back to his feet.
Passat shoots in but no luck this time.
Partridge closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Partridge is fighting off a takedown attempt but Passat is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Partridge to the mat. Partridge regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Partridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Passat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Passat cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Partridge can do anything to dispel that myth.

Passat really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Passat throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Partridge is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Partridge tries to lock up and control but Passat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruffuss Passat dominated that round.
That's time! Passat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Passat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
