Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Bader! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bader misses with a double jab.
Meehan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Meehan rushes Bader and presses him up against the cage. Meehan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bader takes a kick to the side of the head. Meehan throws a push kick but Bader slaps the foot to one side. Meehan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bader has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Meehan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bader gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Meehan breaks the clinch.

It looks like Blake Meehan has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bader lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bader. Bader tries to bum rush Meehan with a series of wild strikes but Meehan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Meehan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bader. and Meehan counters with a flying knee. Nice. Meehan shoots in for a double leg but Bader sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Meehan ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Meehan clinches. Meehan jumps guard and drags Bader to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bader is trying to stand up. Meehan looking to control but Bader is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Meehan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bader is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Meehan connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Meehan wants to control the pace but Bader is squirming around nicely. Meehan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice straight punches there by Bader. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bader. Meehan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Meehan slips a straight right by Bader. Meehan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bader is trying to defend but Meehan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Meehan wants to work for an arm triangle but Bader is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meehan uses his free foot to push down on Bader's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bader. Meehan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Meehan tries to control but Bader wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meehan lands with some strikes. Meehan lands a nice shot to the head. Bader is squirming around, avoiding Meehan's attempts to control the action. Meehan is in the full mount, landing strikes. Bader wants to get back to his feet.

Meehan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bader is looking to escape. Meehan lands a nice shot to the head. Bader is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meehan just leaning against Bader, taking a breather. Meehan seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bader throws a combination that misses and Meehan counters by clinching up. Bader missing with knees to the body.
Meehan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meehan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bader pulls his leg out and moves away.
Meehan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bader eats them both and turns towards Meehan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Meehan takes the fight into the clinch. Nice elbow from Meehan. Bader wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Meehan has him pressed against the cage. Meehan pulls guard successfully.
Meehan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bader manages to get himself to full guard.
Meehan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bader swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meehan trying to control but Bader is working from the bottom. Bader is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Meehan is controlling him. Ryan Bader has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blake Meehan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bader can do anything to dispel that myth. Meehan trying to control the position from guard on top but Bader is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Blake Meehan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Meehan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
