Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Pippen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Temppelikuningas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Viktor Temppelikuningas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Scottie Pippen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scottie Pippen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viktor Temppelikuningas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Temppelikuningas drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pippen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Pippen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Temppelikuningas defends well.
Temppelikuningas sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Temppelikuningas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Temppelikuningas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pippen's guard.
Pippen wants to get back to full guard.
Pippen throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Temppelikuningas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

I looks like Temppelikuningas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Temppelikuningas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Temppelikuningas is looking for a kimura but Pippen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Temppelikuningas to get the leverage.

Pippen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Temppelikuningas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Temppelikuningas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Temppelikuningas has gone for a leg lock! Pippen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Temppelikuningas's guard.
Temppelikuningas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pippen!
Pippen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Temppelikuningas thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Pippen wants to hold on but Temppelikuningas pushes him away.

Temppelikuningas moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pippen has worked his arm free - good work by Pippen!

Pippen seems a little lost for a moment, as Temppelikuningas dominates the positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Viktor Temppelikuningas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Pippen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Temppelikuningas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Temppelikuningas is taking a breather. Pippen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pippen is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Viktor Temppelikuningas wasn't active enough on the ground.
Pippen misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Temppelikuningas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Temppelikuningas.

Temppelikuningas has gone for a leg lock! Pippen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Temppelikuningas's guard.
Temppelikuningas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Scottie Pippen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pippen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Viktor Temppelikuningas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Temppelikuningas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Temppelikuningas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Temppelikuningas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pippen sees it coming and defends easily.
Temppelikuningas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Viktor Temppelikuningas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Temppelikuningas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
