Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Dan Jacobson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Butch Reed! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jacobson won't be happy with that. Reed decides to stand back up. Reed uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jacobson.
Reed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Reed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Reed throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jacobson was covering up waiting for the punch and Reed finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reed engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Reed stands up and waves to Jacobson to follow him. Butch Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reed lands in his opponent's guard. Jacobson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jacobson is breathing heavily. Jacobson is working an open guard so Reed takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Reed closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jacobson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reed is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jacobson to stand up. Reed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jacobson tries to avoid it but Reed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jacobson to the ground. Jacobson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jacobson tries to clinch but Reed is having none of it. Reed decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reed sitting and controlling from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reed seems to be looking for submissions.
Reed looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jacobson to regain full guard. Reed stands up and waves to Jacobson to follow him. Reed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jacobson sprawls well initially but Reed persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Reed controlling the pace. Reed is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jacobson! Reed scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jacobson?

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacobson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Reed is standing up, even though he is in mount. Reed fails to land the takedown. Reed looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reed controlling the action here. Reed has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Butch Reed dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Reed dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jacobson tries to clinch but Reed moves out of range. Dan Jacobson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reed misses with a takedown attempt and Jacobson counters with a left and a right that stings Reed. Reed gets a takedown into half guard. Reed content to control rather than advance. Reed seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Jacobson has recovered full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed won't allow Jacobson to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Reed gets to his feet - Jacobson follows without any prompting. Reed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jacobson sprawls well initially but Reed persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Reed controlling the pace. Butch Reed has got the better of the ground game so far. Reed escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jacobson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jacobson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Reed with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed content to stall in guard here. Reed wants to pass the guard but Jacobson is keeping the position. Reed has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jacobson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reed sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Butch Reed has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jacobson wants to clinch so Reed counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Reed works a leg free and moves into half guard. Reed gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Jacobson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Reed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Reed swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
