Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladmir Lenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Nicholas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lenin comes to the cage accompanied by Soviet National Anthem. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladmir Lenin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Nicholas! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicholas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lenin doesn't seem bothered though. Lenin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A slow jab from Nicholas misses its intended target. Nicholas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lenin, pushing him back against the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Nicholas. Nicholas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lenin pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nicholas swings wildly with an uppercut but Lenin uses good head movement to avoid it. Nicholas with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. A short right from Nicholas. Nicholas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lenin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Nicholas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lenin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nicholas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Nicholas won't allow Lenin to sweep him here. Lenin is pulling down on Nicholas's head. It's preventing any offense from Nicholas, at least for the moment. Nicholas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lenin looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Vladmir Lenin wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nicholas lands a glancing blow to the side of Lenin's head. Lenin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nicholas circles away quickly and effectively. Nicholas dips to his left and cracks Lenin with an uppercut! Lenin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Nicholas lands a nice looking body shot.

and Nicholas counters with a right hand to the body. Lenin is breathing heavily. Lenin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nicholas counters with a straight right hand. Nicholas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Nicholas moves into the clinch. A knee to the head by Nicholas.
Lenin is rocked! Nicholas pushes Lenin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Oh Lenin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nicholas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lenin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lenin seems to have got his legs back now. Nicholas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lenin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Vladmir Lenin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Nicholas. Nicholas misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nicholas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lenin is defending well for now. Nicholas wants a takedown but no success here.

Lenin lands a nice uppercut. Nicholas managing to block the knees to the body from Lenin.
Nicholas tries to throw a body punch but Lenin avoids it by throwing Nicholas back against the cage. Lenin misses with a punch on the inside.
Nicholas throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lenins head. A right hook to the body lands for Lenin.
Lenin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Nicholas misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lenin.

Lenin scores with a shot to the side of Nicholas's head. Lenin lands a body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nicholas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lenin throws an elbow that misses.
Lenin tries to land knees in the clinch but Nicholas avoids the damage to the body. Nicholas tries to score a body lock takedown but Lenin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nicholas blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A short left from Lenin. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lenin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Lenin looks to throw an elbow but misses. Nicholas misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lenin lands with a short shot to the head. Lenin lands a body punch. Lenin lands with a short head shot on the inside. Nicholas tries a knee to the head but Lenin blocks it.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lenin just misses with a elbow thrown towards Nicholas's brow. Lenin managing to block the knees to the body from Nicholas.
Lenin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nicholas backwards. Lenin lands with a short head shot on the inside. A short uppercut from Lenin. Lenin managing to block the knees to the body from Nicholas.

Lenin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Nicholas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lenin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lenin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nicholas with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Lenin lands with a short shot to the head. Lenin scores with an uppercut up the middle. Nicholas tries for a takedown but Lenin manages to get underhooks.
A short left from Lenin. The referee is keeping an eye on Lenin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lenin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Lenin digs a right hand underneath Nicholas's ribcage. Nicholas let out a lung full of air as it connected. Nicholas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Nicholas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lenin prevents it.
Lenin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nicholas backwards. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lenin effectively controlling the action here. Nicholas looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Nicholas dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lenin misses with a double jab.
Lenin connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Nicholas to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Lenin!
