Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chiappe!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiappe with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rotmensen counters with a stiff right hand.
Chiappe has his takedown stuffed
and Chiappe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chiappe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Rotmensen counter with a right hand.
Dane Rotmensen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Chiappe.

Chiappe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chiappe there as he acknowledges the shot.
Chiappe tries for a takedown but Rotmensen circles away easily
and Rotmensen counters with a series of strikes. Chiappe will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rotmensen darts in and clinches Chiappe up against the cage.

Rotmensen has hold of one of Chiappe's legs. Chiappe is fighting the takedown attempt but Rotmensen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Chiappe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rotmensen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rotmensen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chiappe on the ground.

Rotmensen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Chiappe looking for a sweep. Not yet Chiappe, not yet.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Chiappe is looking for a triangle but Rotmensen pushes his legs off easily.
Rotmensen forces his way into half guard.
Rotmensen is looking to stall here but Chiappe recovers full guard.
Rotmensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rotmensen throws and elbow that misses. Chiappe uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rotmensen's guard. Nice move by Chiappe!

Rotmensen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rotmensen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rotmensen tries to get out of the position.

Chiappe drops back looking for a leg! Rotmensen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rotmensen manages to kick Chiappe off! Chiappe jumps back into Rotmensen's guard.
Chiappe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dane Rotmensen dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rotmensen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chiappe manages to get to full guard.
Chiappe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rotmensen!

Chiappe throwing strikes here but Rotmensen is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Rotmensen holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chiappe tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chiappe lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chiappe tries to control but Rotmensen wriggling away.
Chiappe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chiappe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chiappe punching from mount but Rotmensen doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Chiappe looking to control but Rotmensen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The referee warns Rotmensen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Chiappe wants to control the pace but Rotmensen is squirming around nicely.

Chiappe quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Chiappe but it's paid off an Rotmensen is forced to tap! Nice work by Chiappe.
