The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawoski fails to land the takedown.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kawoski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kawoski drops back looking for a leg! Scotsdale is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Scotsdale manages to kick Kawoski off! Kawoski jumps back into Scotsdale's guard.
Scotsdale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kawoski manages to get himself to full guard.

Kawoski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scotsdale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kawoski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Scotsdale defends well.

Scotsdale got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kawoski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scotsdale has managed to get both his arms back between Kawoski's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Scotsdale slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kawoski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Scotsdale connects with a leg kick. Kawoski looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

A head kick lands from Scotsdale that sends Kawoski to the canvas. Kawoski tries to scramble back to his feet but Scotsdale brings him back down into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scotsdale lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Kawoski goes down and covers up as Scotsdale starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
