Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maxwell The Priest!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers tries to clinch but The Priest is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Priest tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Priest to the ground. The Priest escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Priest swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rogers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rogers working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but The Priest slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Rogers lands a big head kick that sends The Priest tumbling to the mat! Rogers takes a step backwards and waves The Priest back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The Priest is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rogers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rogers wants it to stay on the feet.
Rogers is looking to clinch.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers wants to clinch up but The Priest keeps it at a distance.

Rogers lands a left and a right that send The Priest crashing to the mat, dazed. Rogers thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but The Priest swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rogers misses with a takedown attempt - The Priest sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rogers throws a head kick but The Priest moves out of range.

Rogers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The Priest is still in real trouble! Can Rogers finish him?
Rogers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Priest can do to turn this around?
The Priest takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rogers throws a front kick that sends The Priest stumbling back into the cage.

Rogers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rogers throws a head kick but The Priest moves out of range.
The Priest avoids a punch combination nicely.
The Priest showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rogers.

Rogers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming The Priest to the mat! The Priest manages to get full guard.

Rogers's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rogers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rogers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down The Priest for as long as he can get away with.

Rogers stands and steps away. The Priest gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rogers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Priest's guard.

Well Rogers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
