Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by disturbed - warrior. Lidell has chosen the time is now as his entrance music. Chuck Lidell looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Marc Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lidell looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well. Johnson moves into the clinch. Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson rushes Lidell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lidell wants the takedown. Johnson is fighting it off but Lidell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Johnson's guard against the cage. Lidell prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet. Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lidell working some strikes from top position. Johnson has his feet on Lidell's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Lidell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lidell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Lidell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Johnson wants to sweep here but Lidell controlling him for the moment. Lidell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lidell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson has momentary wrist control but Lidell slips an elbow through the middle. Lidell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Johnson wants to stand up but Lidell is controlling him. Lidell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get! Lidell misses with a takedown and Johnson counters with a crisp one two that drops Lidell! Johnson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lidell to his feet! Lidell is in big trouble!
Lidell is rocked! Marc Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Lidell. Lidell looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crack! Johnson connects with the perfect overhand right and Lidell falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Johnson!
