Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cade Branson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Branson's choice of entrance music: branson theme song. Branson has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Cade Branson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cade Branson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Branson did well to prevent Miller getting side control. Branson looks gassed! Still in half guard, Miller seems content to control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Miller working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Miller postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Branson to stand up. Miller thuds a left hand into Branson's body. This has been an exciting period of action! Miller gets a takedown into half guard.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref stands the fighters back up because James Miller just wasn't active enough. Miller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Branson's face as Miller controls the position. Miller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Branson to his feet. Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Branson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Branson's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller stops Branson from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Miller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Branson, up you get! Miller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref calls for Branson to stand up. Miller scores a takedown into full mount! Miller with shots to the head and body - Branson looks very uncomfortable down there. Miller scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Branson?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Branson gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miller drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Branson wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position. Miller sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Miller working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Miller's corner is telling him to maintain position. Miller stands up and waves to Branson to follow him. Branson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miller to score an easy takedown into full guard. Miller slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller gets to his feet - Branson follows without any prompting. Miller displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Miller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Miller winds up and cracks Branson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Miller slows the pace down in half guard. Miller is thwarting Branson's attempts to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Branson! Miller sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Branson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Miller is taking a breather. Branson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Miller breaks the clinch.
Miller shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Branson is trying to defend but Miller finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Miller content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller decides to stand up. Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Branson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Miller moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Branson wants to get back to his feet. Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Miller takes a little break here. Branson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Branson is looking for a sweep. Branson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Miller scoring with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Branson to his feet. James Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller closes the distance and pushes Branson back into the cage. Miller pulls guard. Miller has his feet on Branson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Miller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miller showed some decent athleticism there. Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! James Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
