Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Sykes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Shackle!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shackle fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Shackle digs a good hook to Sykes's body.
Nice jab there from Shackle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice sprawl there from Shackle as Sykes shoots in.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shackle wants to break the clinch but can't.
Shackle gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sykes.
Shackle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Shackle working hard to break the clinch.
Sykes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shackle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Sykes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sykes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sykes throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Sykes has Shackle pressed against the cage, preventing Shackle from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shackle wants to get back to striking at distance but Sykes won't allow it.
Shackle breaks from the clinch.
Shackle clobbers Sykes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sykes shoots in but no luck this time.
Sykes is breathing heavily.
Sykes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sykes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shackle cracks Sykes with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Shackle has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sykes to stand back up!
It looks like Aaron Sykes has been cut.
Shackle drops Sykes with a big left hand! Sykes is injured, injured bad! Shackle jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sebastian Shackle!
