The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon looks to land a body kick but Emelianenko moved away.
Emelianenko shoots in and bounces Boon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Boon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Boon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Emelianenko backs up against the cage.

It looks like Femto Emelianenko has been cut.
Emelianenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Emelianenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Boon finish him?

and Boon counters with a three punch combo that has Emelianenko backing up. Emelianenko nods at Boon to acknowledge the strikes.
Boon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Emelianenko moves in looking to clinch but Boon pushes him off.
Emelianenko gets a takedown into half guard.
Emelianenko stalling away here and it's allowed Boon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Emelianenko seems to have recovered his senses.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boon is on top in guard.

Boon wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it.

and Emelianenko counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Emelianenko.
Boon prevents the takedown attempt.
Boon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fighters circling - Boon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Emelianenko buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Boon looks to throw a body kick
and Emelianenko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boon's guard now.
Emelianenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Emelianenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emelianenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Emelianenko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Emelianenko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Emelianenko tries to pass to full mount but Boon defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Emelianenko is keen to just control but Boon is a slippery customer.
Emelianenko might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Boon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Boon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Emelianenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Boon drops Emelianenko with a naaaaasty hook - Emelianenko is in real trouble here! Boon dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
