The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Flores with that takedown attempt.
Flores avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Flores shoots for a takedown but Saltalamacchia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Flores looks gassed!

Flores darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Saltalamacchia is pressing down on Flores's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Saltalamacchia is on top in guard.
Saltalamacchia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Flores's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flores is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saltalamacchia is keen to just control but Flores is a slippery customer.
Saltalamacchia is taking a breather. Flores says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saltalamacchia decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Saltalamacchia tries a low kick but Flores avoids it.
Saltalamacchia is looking to clinch but Flores is avoiding it.

Saltalamacchia gets the takedown into side control.

Saltalamacchia decides to stand back up. Saltalamacchia steps back and let's Flores get back to his feet.
Flores shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Saltalamacchia counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Saltalamacchia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flores swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Flores is trying to control but can't.

Flores looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Saltalamacchia working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Flores is doing well to defend. Saltalamacchia seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Flores is forced to tap and this one is over!
