Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleks Emelianenko looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleks Emelianenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris lands a nice looking kick to the body. Emelianenko takes a step back to recover.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.

Norris throws a left that rocks Emelianenko and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Norris dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Emelianenko regain composure!


Emelianenko is rocked!


It looks like Aleks Emelianenko has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Emelianenko prevents Norris from moving into mount.
Norris just content to control the position.
Norris wants to stand but Emelianenko has his arm trapped.

Norris takes a little break here. Emelianenko wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Norris wants to stand but Emelianenko is controlling his arm.
Norris wants to control but Emelianenko is keeping him busy.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Norris postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Norris tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Emelianenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Emelianenko can't do much from the bottom here.
Norris trying to control the position but Emelianenko is working away.
Emelianenko is trying to get back to his feet.
Emelianenko wants to control but Norris postures up.

Norris has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Emelianenko walks into a left hand.

Norris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Emelianenko's half guard.

Emelianenko is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Emelianenko is looking to escape.
Well, if Norris is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Norris has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Norris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Emelianenko slaps away a takedown attempt from Norris, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Norris moves into the clinch.

Norris breaks the clinch.
Norris throws a one two combo.
Norris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Emelianenko.
Norris cracks Emelianenko with a right hand to the side of the head.
Norris lands with a right hand.
Norris lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Chuck Norris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Norris fakes the leg kick and cracks Emelianenko in the body.
Norris lands with a kick to the ribs.
Norris lands with a nice combination. Emelianenko backs away looking to recover.
Norris cracks Emelianenko with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Norris displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Norris dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Aleks Emelianenko's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A combination from Norris does no damage.
Norris throws a combination. Emelianenko tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Norris throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Norris goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Norris connects with a body shot that sends Emelianenko's belly button to the back.
Norris lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Norris scores with a hook to the body. Emelianenko takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Norris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Emelianenko's half guard.
Emelianenko tries to get to full guard but Norris has control of the leg.
Emelianenko is trying to maintain the position but Norris is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Norris seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Emelianenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Emelianenko misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Emelianenko is trying to get back to full guard.
Norris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Norris tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Norris controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chuck Norris.
Norris jabs at Emelianenko's body.
Emelianenko has a takedown stuffed.
Norris lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Emelianenko takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nice body punch from Norris.
Emelianenko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Norris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Emelianenko on the side of the head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Emelianenko enables Norris to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Emelianenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Emelianenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Norris is aware though and is defending well.
Emelianenko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Norris!

Norris tries to control Emelianenko's head but Emelianenko pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Norris is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
