The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Reaper at a distance.

Reaper takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Russ Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Makunouchi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reaper tries to clinch but Makunouchi moves away
and Makunouchi counters with a one-two to the body.
Makunouchi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Russ Reaper has been cut.
Makunouchi cracks Reaper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Reaper is breathing heavily.
Makunouchi cracks Reaper with a good jab.
