Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Hyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cross Dresser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Hyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cross Dresser! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyer lands a glancing blow to the side of Dresser's head. Hyer feints a jab promting Dresser to slip. Hyer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dresser slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hyer loads up on a big right hand but Dresser slips the punch. No joy there for Hyer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dresser throws a poor cross that misses
and Hyer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dresser misses with a hook
and Hyer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hyer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dresser momentarily.

and Hyer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dresser thinking. Dresser throws a combination that misses and Hyer counters with a left to the body. Dresser misses with a lunging right hand

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A punch lands to the side of Dresser 's head but he takes it in his stride. Dresser throws a combination that misses and Hyer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dresser takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hyer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dresser stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A jab lands there for Hyer. Hyer lands a nice looking body shot.

Hyer throws a series of punches but Dresser moves out of range. Hyer looks to land a combination. Dresser sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Dresser takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hyer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Hyer dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Dresser might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Hyer has got the better of the exchanges. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
