Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Obrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevez Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Obrien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevez Turner! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obrien is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Turner's half guard. Obrien controlling the action here. Obrien is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Turner is pressing down on Obrien's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Obrien postures up in Turner's guard and throws a big left but Turner blocks it. Turner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Obrien doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Obrien manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Turner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Obrien is aware though and is defending well. Obrien working some strikes from top position. Turner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Obrien not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obrien wants to pass the guard but Turner is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Obrien gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Turner looking to control.
Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Obrien is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Obrien with a nice head shot there. Obrien makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Obrien stands up from guard. Let's bang! Obrien changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Turner can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obrien controls the position from side control. Turner is trying to improve his position. Obrien taking a breather here. Obrien landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Obrien throws an elbow but Turner slips to the side and avoids it well. Obrien stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obrien darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Obrien thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Turner's head. Turner trying to control from the bottom.
Turner is defending against the submission attempts here by Obrien.
Obrien tries to stand but can't do so whilst Turner controls his leg. Turner manages to get to full guard.
Obrien got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Obrien has managed to get both his arms back between Turner's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Obrien controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Obrien defends it easily. Turner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Obrien wants to stand up but Turner is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Obrien dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Obrien shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Obrien was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Turner regains half guard. Obrien lands strikes from half guard. Turner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Obrien wants to pass to mount but Turner is defending the position. Turner wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Obrien seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Obrien just wasn't active enough. Obrien displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Turner closes the distance looking to clinch and Obrien cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Turner tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Obrien counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Turner's guard now. Mike Obrien overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Obrien gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Turner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Obrien defends it easily. Turner is breathing heavily. Obrien seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Obrien wasn't doing enough on the ground. Turner has his takedown stuffed and Obrien counters with a shoot takedown. Turner fights it but they end up in guard. Turner looking for subs off his back but Obrien has passed one foot through into half guard.
Obrien seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Obrien working over Turner with some ground and pound. Turner looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Obrien is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Obrien missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Obrien looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Turner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Obrien is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Turner! Obrien connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Obrien takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Turner is trying desperately to improve position. Obrien working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Turner is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Obrien dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Obrien moves into the clinch successfully.

Turner manages to work his way to half guard, despite Obrien's best efforts. Turner won't allow Obrien to pass to mount. Obrien thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Obrien is figuring out what he wants to do next. Obrien wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Obrien looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Obrien drops an elbow to the side of Turner's head. Obrien is controlling the pace.
Turner wants to get back to full guard. Turner is looking to control Obrien's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted? The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Turner actively working from the bottom here. Obrien takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Obrien just wasn't active enough. Obrien works over Turner's head and body with a nice combination. Obrien feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Obrien wants to pass the guard but Turner is keeping the position. Turner has an active guard here but Obrien has managed to pass into half guard.

Obrien looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Obrien's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Turner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Obrien is taking a breather. Turner says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mike Obrien is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Obrien showed his dominance in that final round. Well Obrien has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
