The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Salace showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
Silva throws a series of strikes that have Salace backpedaling.


It looks like Cyril Salace has been cut.
Salace avoids a punch combination nicely.
Salace takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Salace.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Salace tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily
and Silva counters with a three punch combo that has Salace backing up. Salace nods at Silva to acknowledge the strikes.

That has opened up Cyril Salace's cut even more.
Jake Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cyril Salace.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva throws a right and a left that Salace avoids nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Salace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Salace eventually gives up the hold.
Silva is staying active underneath Salace, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Salace passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva!

Salace is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Salace extends the arm and Silva is forced to tap!
