Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willy Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nath Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Willy Coffey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Willy Coffey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Coffey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nath Tank! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coffey has closed the distance and engaged Tank in a clinch.
Tank looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Coffey jumps into guard, dragging Tank to the mat.
Tank postures up in Coffey's guard and throws a big left but Coffey blocks it. Coffey manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tank misses with a takedown attempt and Coffey counters by clinching up. Coffey pulls Tank into guard.
Tank throws and elbow that misses. Coffey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tank's guard. Nice move by Coffey! Coffey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Coffey is working Tank over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Tank has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Coffey postures up and lands a big shot to Tank's brow. Coffey scoring with some ground and pound. Coffey passes Tank's left leg - he's now in half guard. Coffey slips a nice elbow through Tank's hands, connecting with Tank's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coffey throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tank blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coffey. Coffey wants to pass the guard but Tank is defending well. Coffey working the head and body with strikes. Coffey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tank with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coffey gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Coffey darts in and clinches Tank up against the cage. Coffey tightens his grip and picks Tank up, before dumping him to the ground. Tank manages to land in guard. Coffey distracts Tank with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Coffey postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coffey thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coffey stands up over Tank, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Tank trying to keep a closed guard but Coffey is proving a slippery customer.
Coffey stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tank keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Coffey pushes Tank up against the cage in a clinch. Tank misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Coffey.
Coffey lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Coffey.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coffey breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coffey presses Tank against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Coffey pulls guard successfully.
Tank wants to control from the top but Coffey keeps moving. Tank missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Coffey wriggles free and stands up. Coffey clinches with his opponent.
Coffey has hold of one of Tank's legs. Tank is fighting the takedown attempt but Coffey gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Coffey gets to his feet - Tank follows without any prompting. Coffey moves into the clinch. Coffey digs a right hand into Tank's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tank's gas tank. Coffey pulls guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coffey is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Coffey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Coffey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tank throwing strikes from guard but Coffey blocks nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coffey kicks Tank off and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Coffey dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Coffey darts in and clinches Tank up against the cage. Nice body punch from Coffey. Coffey pulls Tank into guard.
Tank is fighting to break Coffey's control of his arms but Coffey is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Coffey manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tank tries to keep at a distance but Coffey has taken the fight into the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Coffey.
It looks like Nath Tank has been cut. Coffey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Coffey content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Tank is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coffey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tank backwards. Tank pushes off an throws an elbow but Coffey leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Tank stops a takedown attempt from Coffey.
Coffey lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tank backwards. Coffey lands an elbow inside that Tank shrugs off. Coffey comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Coffey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Coffey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Coffey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tank's guard. Willy Coffey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coffey makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Coffey advances to half guard. Coffey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tank's head. Coffey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Coffey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tank with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Coffey scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Coffey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Coffey working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coffey lands strikes from half guard. Coffey has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Coffey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tank is bucking up trying to escape but Coffey cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Coffey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Tank is rocked! Coffey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tank can do to turn this around? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coffey lands a big shot there that rocks Tank but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tank is still in real trouble! Can Coffey finish him? Coffey landing strikes from the mount. Coffey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coffey breaks from Tank's wrist control and lands an elbow. Coffey drops a big elbow. That's hurt Tank! More shots from Coffey and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
