Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Rob Sr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Big Tiger! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rob Sr was well out of range. Poor timing from Tiger. Tiger closes the distance but Rob Sr moves to the side and Rob Sr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tiger closes the distance but Rob Sr moves to the side and Rob Sr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tiger wants to clinch but Rob Sr slips to the side and Rob Sr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tiger looks to clinch and Rob Sr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rob Sr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rob Sr gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Tiger throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Big Tiger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tiger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rob Sr circles away quickly and effectively. Rob Sr moves into the clinch successfully.
Tiger has had enough of the clinch but Rob Sr keeps him there for the moment. Tiger fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rob Sr manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tiger wants to stand but Rob Sr is controlling his posture from full guard. Rob Sr pushes Tiger off and gets back to his feet.
Tiger looks to clinch and Rob Sr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tiger tries to circle away but Rob Sr has him pinned against the cage. Rob Sr has Tiger pushed against the cage. Come on Tiger - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Tiger looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rob Sr pulls guard. Rob Sr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rob Sr looking for a guillotine here but Tiger defends easily.
Rob Sr uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rob Sr throws a one two combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tiger misses with a double jab.
Rob Sr has closed the distance and engaged Tiger in a clinch.
Rob Sr manages to break the clinch.
Tiger closes the distance looking to clinch and Rob Sr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Rob Sr has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Tiger is tapping! This fight is all over!
