Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deguzman Koslov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Silliard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Deguzman Koslov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Silliard!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silliard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Koslov did well to prevent Silliard getting side control.
Silliard is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Koslov kicks Silliard off and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silliard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Koslov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silliard shoots in looking for a takedown but Koslov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silliard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silliard shoots for a double leg takedown but Koslov sprawls well. He's pushed Silliard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Deguzman Koslov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Silliard.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silliard.

Silliard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Koslov to his feet.

Silliard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Silliard trying to control the position from guard on top but Koslov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silliard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Koslov is proving hard to escape from.

Koslov working for submissions but it's allowed Silliard to get to half guard.
Koslov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Koslov has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Silliard escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Silliard!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Silliard dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Koslov fails with the takedown.

Silliard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Koslov to the mat! Koslov manages to get full guard.
Silliard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Koslov is keeping the position for now.
Silliard slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Silliard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kevin Silliard.

and Koslov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Koslov.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Koslov tries to free his leg and advance position but Silliard is retaining full guard.
Silliard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koslov is one step ahead there.
Silliard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deguzman Koslov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Koslov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Silliard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Koslov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silliard defends well.
Silliard tries to free his leg and advance position but Koslov is retaining full guard.

Silliard stands up and waves to Koslov to follow him.

Silliard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silliard controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koslov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koslov wants to sweep but Silliard has passed to side control!
Koslov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Silliard's best efforts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silliard wants to take a breather but Koslov is having none of it.
Koslov is trying to stand.
Silliard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Silliard is keen to just control but Koslov is a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kevin Silliard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silliard has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
