Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Gi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Arcinas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kai Gi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kai Gi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Arcinas! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arcinas avoids the head kick by Gi.
Arcinas steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gi. That one must have hurt. Gi rushes Arcinas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gi lands an elbow inside. Arcinas is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Arcinas to the mat. Arcinas regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Arcinas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gi stands and throws Arcinas's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gi is trying to get an arm triangle but Arcinas is defending well. Gi swings around for an armbar but Arcinas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gi's guard. Arcinas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Arcinas. Gi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Arcinas thows a big elbow that misses. Gi has his foot on Arcinas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arcinas works his way back into a safe position though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arcinas postures up in Gi's guard and throws a big left but Gi blocks it. Arcinas working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Arcinas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arcinas working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Gi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arcinas defends well. Arcinas throwing strikes but missing. Arcinas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gi looking for a sweep. Not yet Gi, not yet. Gi keeping full guard, as Arcinas tries to pass. Gi working for submissions but it's allowed Arcinas to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Arcinas with the ground and pound but Gi uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arcinas looking to pass the guard. Gi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arcinas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gi is breathing heavily. Arcinas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Arcinas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gi looking for a guillotine here but Arcinas defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arcinas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arcinas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Arcinas wants to pass the guard but Gi is keeping the position. Arcinas lands a couple of digs. Arcinas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Arcinas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gi can't keep his opponent in guard - Arcinas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Arcinas missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Arcinas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arcinas working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Arcinas working Gi over with strikes. Arcinas is pressing down on Gi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gi is holding on for now. Gi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kai Gi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Arcinas fails with a takedown attempt. Arcinas throws a right hand that Gi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gi also avoids with ease. The fight moves into the clinch position. Nice body punch from Gi. Gi pulls guard effortlessly. Gi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Arcinas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arcinas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arcinas defends well. Arcinas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Arcinas is working Gi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gi looking for a guillotine here but Arcinas defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Arcinas there. Arcinas is working for a submission of some sort.
Gi is trying to get back to full guard. Arcinas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gi has managed to free his arm - good work. Arcinas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gi tries to get to full guard but Arcinas has control of the leg. Gi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Arcinas pulls his head out easily. Gi tries to kick Arcinas off but Arcinas keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Arcinas is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Arcinas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Arcinas looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gi won't allow Arcinas to pass to mount. Gi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kai Gi will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Arcinas falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gi counters by clinching up. Gi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arcinas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Kai Gi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Arcinas misses with a combination
and Gi counters with a three punch combo that has Arcinas backing up. Arcinas nods at Gi to acknowledge the strikes. Gi gets a clinch. Arcinas fails to pull guard.
Gi displaying some good clinch control by pressing Arcinas up against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Arcinas blocks it with crossed arms.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arcinas taking a breather. Gi breaks from the clinch.
Arcinas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gi defends it nicely. Kai Gi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Arcinas. Arcinas tries for a takedown but Gi circles away easily and Gi moves into the clinch. Gi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Arcinas backwards. Gi digs a right hand underneath Arcinas's ribcage. Arcinas let out a lung full of air as it connected. Gi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Arcinas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Gi tries to pull guard but Arcinas holds him up against the cage and eventually Gi drops back down to his feet.
Arcinas tries to circle away but Gi has him pinned against the cage. Arcinas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gi just stands there and leans against the cage. Gi tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Gi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Arcinas walks away with a smile on his face. Gi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gi slaps away a takedown attempt from Arcinas, before circling back to the center of the mat. Arcinas swats away the attempt to clinch by Gi. Gi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arcinas swats him away and circles back towards the center. Arcinas throws a combination that misses and Gi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Gi.
Gi breaks the clinch.
Arcinas throws a right and a left that Gi avoids nicely. Gi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Arcinas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kai Gi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gi tries to clinch there but Arcinas circles away.

Gi moves into range and connects with a jab. Arcinas misses with a takedown attempt and Gi counters by clinching up. Arcinas tries to pull guard but Gi holds him up against the cage and eventually Arcinas drops back down to his feet.

Gi closes the distance and pushes Arcinas back into the cage. Arcinas wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Gi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A right hand to the body from Gi.
Gi lands a nice uppercut. Gi unloads a knee to the mid-section.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gi goes for a takedown attempt but Arcinas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A left and a right from Arcinas both land. Nice combination. Arcinas throws a sloppy head kick and Gi moves out of range easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gi has Arcinas up against the cage in a clinch.
Arcinas takes an elbow to the forehead. Arcinas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gi just stands there and leans against the cage. Gi wants the takedown. Arcinas is fighting it off but Gi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Arcinas's guard against the cage. Gi is posturing up here but Arcinas has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gi has to tap! Slick submission there by Arcinas!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Red Arcinas!
