PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Im gonna fuck you up!. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Louis Cane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Bronson!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson looks to land a body kick but Cane moved away.
Cane moves out of range as Bronson strikes.
Bronson misses with a right hand
and Cane counters with a stiff right hand.

Cane shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cane showed some decent athleticism there.
Cane is trying to control. Bronson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bronson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cane.
Cane not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cane wants to free his trapped foot but Bronson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cane trying to advance position but Bronson counters by regaining guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bronson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cane has Bronson in his guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bronson stays in close to Cane's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Louis Cane.
Bronson swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Cane counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bronson!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cane looking to ground and pound but Bronson is blocking nicely.

Cane jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bronson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bronson and Cane has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bronson is not content to let Cane control the position.

Cane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bronson tries to improve position but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bronson regains half guard, as Cane was trying to land strikes.
Cane trying to mount his opponent but Bronson defends it.
Bronson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bronson's head.

Cane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bronson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cane.
Bronson is controlling Cane's trapped leg to prevent Cane from advancing to side control.
Cane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bronson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Louis Cane dominated that round.
That's time! Cane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bronson as he avoids it easily.
Cane dives in and grabs Bronson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bronson pushes down on Cane's head and hops out.
Bronson throws a one two combo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bronson throws a leg kick but Cane sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cane takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bronson cracks a nice hook into Cane's ribs.
Bronson connects with a nice cross there... Cane is looking wobbly and Bronson recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Cane to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bronson jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charlie Bronson!
