Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marek Rurek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Bading (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marek Rurek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Earl Bading!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rurek shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bading defends it nicely.

Bading decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Rurek kicks Bading off and gets back to his feet.
Rurek tries for a takedown but Bading circles away easily

and Bading counters with a shoot takedown. Rurek fights it but they end up in guard.
Rurek wants to get back to his feet but Bading is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rurek is wriggling around but Bading manages to pass to half guard.
Bading is stalling here. Rurek is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bading seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rurek has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Rurek will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bading tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rurek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Rurek stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bading tries a head kick but it misses.
Bading looks gassed!

Bading closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rurek on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rurek tries to get out of the position.
Bading looking to control but instead Rurek has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Bading stalling away here and it's allowed Rurek to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Bading won't allow Rurek to get back to his feet.

Rurek is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bading prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marek Rurek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rurek is trying to drag Bading to the mat but Bading just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rurek is working for takedown but Bading is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bading ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bading no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rurek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rurek showed some decent athleticism there.
Rurek perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rurek is thwarting Bading's attempts to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rurek has his takedown stuffed

and Bading counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Rurek wants to stand up but Bading is controlling him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rurek gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bading counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rurek's guard now.
Bading has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rurek is proving hard to escape from.
Rurek keeping moving, preventing Bading from controlling successfully.

Rurek is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bading gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bading is trying to drag Rurek to the mat but Rurek just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bading breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bading content to control rather than advance.
Rurek is trying to stand back up but Bading is controlling him

Bading sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rurek defending well though.
Bading throws a strike but Rurek avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bading trying to control but Rurek is working from the bottom.

Bading looking to sit in guard and control but Rurek gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rurek controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rurek wants to control from the top but Bading keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Marek Rurek has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Bading counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rurek!

Bading content just to control the position here.

Rurek bucks up and throws Bading to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Earl Bading showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Bading rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rurek moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rurek kicks off Bading and gets to his feet.
Rurek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bading counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bading takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bading missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Bading prevents Rurek from standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like Bading is going to stand back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bading seems to be working for a kimura but Rurek defends the submission attempt.
Earl Bading has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rurek is trying to stand up here but Bading is controlling him well.

Rurek manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Bading gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rurek wants the takedown. Bading is fighting it off but Rurek persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bading's guard against the cage.

Rurek gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Rurek fails with the takedown

and Bading counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rurek won't be happy with that.
Bading scores with punches from side control.
Rurek is not content to let Bading control the position.
Bading wants to take a breather but Rurek manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bading.

Rurek wants to stand up but Bading is controlling him.
Bading stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rurek swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Earl Bading comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bading has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
