Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Gunner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Gunner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johny Jones! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gunner passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunner content to control rather than advance. Gunner uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones. Gunner controlling the pace for now. Gunner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gunner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gunner lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunner lands with some strikes. Gunner landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble! Gunner breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow. Gunner looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gunner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. A nice elbow there by Gunner.
Jones is rocked! Gunner scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jones is still in real trouble! Can Gunner finish him? Gunner postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Gunner!
