The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahal throws a nice inside leg kick.
Mahal keeps Eriksson at a distance using the push kick.
Mahal explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Eriksson is breathing heavily.

Mahal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Eriksson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mahal smiles and moves away.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mahal tries to pass the half guard into mount. Eriksson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Eriksson swats away the attempt to clinch by Mahal.

Mahal delivers a nice body kick.
Mahal bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mahal is working to tighten is grip on Eriksson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Eriksson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mahal is really squeezing tight and eventually Eriksson passes out! Mahal breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
