Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kob Nitaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leto II Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitaya throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

It looks like Leto II Atreides has been cut.

Leto II Atreides seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Nitaya counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Nitaya feints and then cracks Atreides's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Atreides down.

Nitaya thuds his shin into the meat of Atreides's side.
Nitaya tries to close the distance and clinch but Atreides swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nitaya.

Nitaya stuns Atreides with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nitaya wants to clinch.
Atreides stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nitaya.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nitaya buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
