Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Louis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Plouffe!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouffe throws a shot from downtown. Louis moves away and avoids it.

Louis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Louis looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Plouffe is avoiding damage well.

Louis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Plouffe, who protects the arm well.
Louis throws an elbow but Plouffe slips to the side and avoids it well.
Louis lands an elbow.
Louis working the ground and pound from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ground and pound from Louis seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Louis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Louis scores with punches from side control.


It looks like Andre Plouffe has been cut.
Plouffe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Louis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Plouffe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Louis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Plouffe takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Louis in side control, throwing shots but Plouffe defends.
Louis wants to control but Plouffe is keeping him busy.
Louis landing a few strikes.

Louis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Louis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Louis content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

That has opened up Andre Plouffe's cut even more.
Louis landing strikes.
Plouffe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Louis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Louis is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Plouffe is trying to escape and Louis transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Plouffe is forced to tap! Nice work there by Louis! Very nice indeed!
