The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimit connects with a right hand. Babbaramananah shakes it off.
Decent striking displayed by Babbaramananah there.
Shimit bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Babbaramananah's head.
Babbaramananah scores with a jab to the body.
Shimit swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Babbaramananah counters with a stiff right hand.

and Babbaramananah counters with a crisp one two that drops Shimit! Babbaramananah thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shimit to his feet! Shimit is in big trouble!

and Babbaramananah counters with a beautiful punch that sends Shimit to the canvas!

Shimit wants to stand and escape but Babbaramananah is having none of it.

Shimit is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Shimit is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Babbaramananah dives into side control.

Babbaramananah is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shimit is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Babbaramananah is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Shimit can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

and Babbaramananah counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Shimit has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
