Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Rj Dias! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias throws a body kick the misses and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dias sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dias works his way to full guard. Good work. Dias is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Dias is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones. Dias tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jones easily slips into full mount! Jones controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dias keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dias tries to hold on but Jones postures up. Jones stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones lands a high kick!
Dias tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Jones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Dias in the body. Jones explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dias pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Dias throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Dias throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dias. Dias takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Jones thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dias if he has to take too many more of those.
Dias looks gassed! Jones scores with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones scores with a kick to the midsection. Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nice cross by Jones. Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!

Jones feints and as Dias raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Jones stands up from Dias's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones scores with a nice body kick.
Dias swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jones throws a head kick that half lands.

Dias with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut. Dias has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Jones. Dias throws a lazy body kick and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones postures up.
Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Dias shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rj Dias is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Nate Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dias throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. Dias falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dias is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him. Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dias falls off balance throwing a combination
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Jones finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dias defends it nicely. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dias crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jones - the referee stops the clock and Dias gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jones. Dias manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Dias is breathing heavily.

Jones lands a front kick. A low kick from Dias is predictable there and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body. A slapping body kick lands there for Jones. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Danga de danga de dang - Dias scores with a four punch combination! Nice body kick from Jones. Jones scores with a push kick. Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. Dias should have avoided that one. Dias doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nate Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones lands with a shot to the body. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Dias sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A head kick by Dias misses and Jones counters with a flying knee. Nice. Rj Dias is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A low kick from Dias is predictable there and Jones counters with a thumping low kick. Dias throws a head kick that misses and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones thows a body kick. Dias tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dias if he has to take too many more of those.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Dias throws a head kick that misses and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones thuds his shin into the meat of Dias's side. Jones thows a body kick. Dias tries to catch it but that hurt him. Jones lands with a slapping head kick. Dias has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones. Nate Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dias takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jones not doing much here.

Dias gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dias is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dias pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position. Dias tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Jones dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones is looking to land body kicks. Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dias avoids it really well and circles away. Some wild striking there from Dias.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones jabs Dias to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jones scores with a head kick. Dias tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Dias walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jones. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top. Jones scores with a spinning back kick! Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dias. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dias stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Good standup being displayed there by Jones as he connects with a hook. Nice body kick there by Jones. Jones misses with a body kick. Jones throws a nice head kick!
Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Dias swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a head kick. That will keep Dias thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jones keeps Dias at a distance using the push kick. A shot to the liver by Jones. Beautiful body shot. Dias takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dias throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jones counters with a nice leg kick. Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A shot to the body from Dias misses and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones stalling. Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dias for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Sloppy strikes from Dias. Those never looked like landing. Dias takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jones explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Dias tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jones working Dias over with strikes.
