The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Raper. That snapped Nicaroggan's head back.
Raper blocks a head kick by Nicaroggan.
Nicaroggan moves into the clinch.
Nicaroggan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Nicaroggan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nicaroggan can't get the takedown.
Nicaroggan drags the fight down to the ground.
Nicaroggan keeping moving, preventing Raper from controlling successfully.
Raper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nicaroggan on the ground.
Nicaroggan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Raper is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nicaroggan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Raper's back instead.
Nicaroggan is looking for the choke from the back position but Raper is controlling his hands well.
Raper trying to control the hands but Nicaroggan breaks the grip.

Raper is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Nicaroggan gets his way!
Nicaroggan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Raper has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Raper looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Raper is trying to get back to his feet but Nicaroggan has full control of the position and if anything, Raper has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Raper tries to escape but Nicaroggan has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nicaroggan avoiding Raper 's attempts to control his hands.
Raper turns into Nicaroggan and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Raper throws a hook to the side of Nicaroggan's head but Nicaroggan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nicaroggan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Face Raper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russ Nicaroggan.
Raper sizes up Nicaroggan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Raper darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nicaroggan is rocked!
Nicaroggan misses with a head kick.
Nicaroggan is still on wobbly legs! Can Raper finish him?
Raper lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Nicaroggan is looking to close the distance but Raper sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Nicaroggan crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Nicaroggan is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
