The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danny scores with a head kick. Fik tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Fik fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
An inside leg kick from Fik misses.
Danny is looking to clinch.
Fik looks to score with a jab to the body but Danny is just out of range.
Fik throws a jab but it's blocked by Danny.
Danny gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Fik counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fik stands and throws Danny's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fik scoring with punches from side control.
Fik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fik wants to control but Danny is keeping him busy.
Fik scores with a couple of short elbows.
Danny is not content to let Fik control the position.
Danny wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
