Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Panting Patrice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howlett is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by X-MEN. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Patrice stuffs the takedown.
Howlett shoots in but Patrice avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Panting Patrice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Howlett.

James Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howlett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patrice sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Patrice throws a low kick, looking for Howlett's leg but Howlett calmly moves out of range.
Howlett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Patrice is fending him off so far but Howlett persists. Nope, Patrice circles away and we're back to standing.

Howlett feints and as Patrice raises his hands in defense, Howlett changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Patrice throws a nice looking combination but Howlett bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Patrice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Howlett.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Howlett has a takedown stuffed.

Patrice gets caught flat footed, as Howlett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Howlett slips nicely into half guard.
Patrice on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Patrice tries to get out of the position.
Patrice is trying to stand up here but Howlett is controlling him well.
Howlett seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Howlett slips a nice elbow through Patrice's hands, connecting with Patrice's forehead.
Howlett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Panting Patrice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Howlett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Howlett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patrice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Patrice wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Howlett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Patrice sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Howlett somewhat.
Panting Patrice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Howlett.

Howlett passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Patrice!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
