Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
perez shoots in and bounces Bruin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bruin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bruin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bruin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

perez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - perez lands in his opponent's guard.
Oh Bruin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bruin keeps the fight on the outside.
perez has closed the distance and engaged Bruin in a clinch.
perez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
perez darts in and clinches Bruin up against the cage.

Bruin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. perez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and perez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Bruin leaves perez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bruin doesn't manage to clinch there - perez circles away.
Bruin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling perez to score with a decent uppercut.
perez wants to clinch up but Bruin keeps it at a distance.

perez feints and as Bruin raises his hands in defense, perez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
perez wanted to stand there but Bruin had control of the position.
perez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bruin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bruin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bruin!

Bruin decides to stand back up. Bruin steps back and let's perez get back to his feet.

and perez counters with a three punch combo that has Bruin backing up. Bruin nods at perez to acknowledge the strikes.

Well perez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
