The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lepdev changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ivanov throws a combination that misses
and Lepdev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ivanov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lepdev moves into the clinch.
Lepdev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
CJ Ivanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lepdev gets a clinch.
Lepdev breaks from the clinch.
Lepdev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lepdev lands with a good body shot.
Ivanov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ivanov looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ivanov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ivanov moves to clinch but Lepdev breaks away
and Lepdev counters with a straight right hand.
Lepdev fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lepdev connects with a body shot that sends Ivanov's belly button to the back.
Lepdev cracks Ivanov with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lepdev connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ivanov is rocked!
Ivanov gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Lepdev points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ivanov wakes up just in time to hear Lepdev thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vlad Lepdev!
