Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Clipse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Clipse!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Raymond Chow!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chow connects with a good right hand that stumbles Clipse. Clipse circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clipse looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chow defending well as Clipse loads up on a big left hand.
Clipse misses with an attempted mid kick.
Chow throws a series of punches but Clipse moves out of range.
Clipse throws an off balance right hand
and Chow counters with a straight right hand.
Clipse wants to clinch up but Chow keeps it at a distance.
Clipse plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Raymond Chow has been cut.
Chow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chow misses with a double jab.

Chow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clipse's guard.
Clipse preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Chow passes Clipse's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Clipse wants to improve his position but Chow is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clipse has his hands clasped together around Chow's back. He's all about the action.

Chow is trying to work for a kimura but Clipse is defending well.
Chow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chow is keen to just control but Clipse is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chow postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Clipse tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chow looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clipse with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Chow is taking a breather. Clipse says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Chow throws a shot from downtown. Clipse moves away and avoids it.
Chow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Clipse circles away.

That's time! Clipse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chow takes one to the chin there.
Chow blocks the body kick.
Chow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Clipse manages to avoid it.
Chow throws a hook but Clipse avoids it easily.
Chow shoots for a takedown but Clipse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chow lands with a nice body punch.
Chow chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Clipse can pounce on him.
Clipse scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Clipse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chow swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clipse connects with a body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Chow.
Chow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Clipse goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Chow is rocked!


Raymond Chow's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Raymond Chow's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Paul Clipse!
Paul Clipse is the new bantamweight champion!
